Too Many Studies, Too Few Results
We have been studying the same problems in Raleigh for decades—health care, transportation, you name it. Many of these studies contain useful ideas, but too often they result in the same conclusion—inaction. I am going to change that as governor. We need fewer commissions, and more solutions.
Let me be clear. Commissions and studies have their place and I’ve even served on a few. But creating new studies or commissions is increasingly used in Raleigh to mask a lack of political will to change the status quo and tackle the tough issues facing our state.
