I am not from N.C. but after personally meeting Richard Moore , I wish I was!  He humbly explained to a diverse international audience the strengths of N.C. including scenic open spaces, first class academic institutions, a strong financial and health care industry, and high quality of life.  He also shared that N.C. industries offer high value added goods and services and the skilled N.C. workforce can provide foreign firms with a competitive advantage.  Few leaders these days have obtained international postgraduate educations in order to understand the  difficult changes needed to make their constituents more competitive in a globalized world, and enable their state to be a preferred place for multinational firms to do business.  Richard Moore is one of those rare leaders.
